Suicide is now one of the main causes of death worldwide and World Health Organisation (WHO) reports that in the last 45 years suicide rates have increased 60%. Although WHO estimates that each year approximately one million people die from suicide and self-harm, suicide is still a taboo subject among all cultures and communities around the world and remains too, a taboo subject, in Britain.
