REMEMBERING OSMAN TÜRKAY AT HIS 93rd BIRTH ANNIVERSARY

Former Culture Minister of Turkey, a cultural historian, poet and translator Prof. Dr. Talat Halman once observed that Osman Türkay’s work (16 February 1927 – 24 January 2001) combined Blake’s apocalyptic vision which Eliot’s gloomy depictions of modern civilisations. Not only Talat makes this remark but goes further to say that Osman Turkay’s work goes beyond Blake’s and Eliot’s scope, arching over the entire geography of world culture.

OBITUARY: Musa Moris Farhi. A writer with endless love for humanity (1935 – 5 March 2019)

It is very difficult to write an obituary if the person was very dear to you and held a special place in your life. You try to put the words together but after a while the blank paper in front of you remains the same just as you had started, completely blank. This happened to me when I tried to write something about Musa Moris Farhi who sadly passed away on the morning of 5th March.
