‘A Taste of Tagore’ by Rabindranath Tagore compiled by Meron Shapland

The time, I came along to read Tagore’s Gitanjali in German many years back when I was only eighteen years old and my fascination with his writings continued throughout my life since. Reading his work about the environment, politics, education, humanism, the arts and travel in German, Turkish or English whatever it became available to me. From that first book, Tagore became one of my best poet and writer of all time.

‘Selected Poems ‘ by C. P.Cavafy

Before I returned from Athens three days ago, I went to get some books on George Seferis from the biggest bookshop in Athens Elefteroudakis, but as luck was not on my side, there was not even one book by him in English. Quite disappointed, wondering on to the poetry shelf I discovered some books by C.P. Cavafy whom I heard about years ago but, must admit, did not read anything by him. So I decided as not been able to find any book by Seferis, I thought I can buy the Selected Poems by Cavafy translated by Avi Sharon.
